396 Square Feet
Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 10:58AM I have been churning over in my mind the idea of doing a faux video of a photo shoot for almost a year. The idea would be to show what goes on and how my shoots differ from a "fast-food" portrait experience. With the help of my friend Melissa, whose photos I showed in a previous blog, the video is done! It's a "faux" video because it's really a stop-action trick, using still photos. I waited until after the Academy Awards so as not to embarrass James Cameron, but as it turned out, he didn't win anyway. <Insert eye-roll here> In any event, please check out the video!
If you have the bandwidth, please check it out in HD, and maybe full-screen. You will have to go to YouTube to see it that way. And don't forget the sound!

A neat way of showing how your process leads to your final style; certainly shows your level of effort is beyond "fast-food"!
The time-lapse effect works well; the only thing that would be nice to add is some audio of you interacting with with Melissa.
Thanks, and true enough about the audio. But when I said, produced and directed by me, I meant it. Next time I will need an assistant to do the movie making. :-)
Thanks again!

Adrien. This is really cool. I love your video style. This girl has an amazing face and you have captured it well...as usual.
Thank you Kerry!
*Loved* the video, Adrien!! Your images of Melissa are gorgeous. You must make your subjects very comfortable as she looks so natural and relaxed. Beautiful!
